We live in a connected society, but it is hard to find trustworthy resources online. Reliable OneStop Services is passionate about connecting you to the best resources available.
We’re probably not what you expect when you think of a food bank. In Oregon, we do things differently. We started off like most food banks did back in 1988. That’s when Interagency Food Bank and Oregon Food Share merged to become Oregon Food Bank, and we distributed USDA Commodity Supplemental Food to over 200 hunger-relief agencies.
The Sunshine Division values and embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion as fundamental to our mission to provide food and clothing to those in immediate need.
We are leaders in the anti-hunger movement. We envision an Oregon where everyone is healthy and thriving, with access to affordable, nutritious and culturally appropriate food. To bring that vision into reality, we raise awareness about hunger, connect people to nutrition programs, and advocate for systemic changes.
The goal of the Self-Sufficiency Programs is Poverty Reduction. Self-Sufficiency helps families in poverty achieve stability and economic security through coaching and employment and training services while providing temporary support for their most basic needs; such as food, refugee services, assistance for domestic violence survivors, and childcare while they work to meet their employment goals.
WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. This public health program is designed to improve health outcomes and influence lifetime nutrition and health behaviors in targeted, at-risk populations. Nutrition education is the cornerstone of the WIC Program. Checkout our website to find a WIC clinic near you!
Our nonprofit contact center launched in 1980 as a crisis line. In 2004, we transformed into a 211 service, providing callers with referrals to basic needs programs such as food, shelter, health care and more.
Since then, we’ve expanded: consumers can still reach us by calling 211, but they can also text or email, or use our mobile app and online database. And we now serve all 36 Oregon counties and Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties in Southwest Washington.
During the school year, tens of thousands of Oregon children eat school meals each day. However, when school ends for the year, so does this important source of nutrition. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP or aka Summer Meals) is meant to help fill that nutritional gap.
In Oregon, SFSP is administered by Oregon Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP).
This website, summer meals marketing materials and other Oregon summer meal promotional efforts are a collaborative project of Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon and ODE CNP.
